NFL: Predicting the NFC East

0

Each season, experts try to do their best in predicting things that may happen in the NFL. This starts with predicting the division winners, award winners, playoff teams, and even the eventual Super Bowl Champion. Over the next four weeks, we will do our best to line up each division. Next up is our final division, the NFC East.

  1. Dallas Cowboys

I feel that the Cowboys are a team that is major trouble. Their offensive line is the strength of this ball club. Right now, they are missing their key to that in Travis Frederick. In the third preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, this team was missing five offensive starters. Thus, they were unable to move the football. Is saying that there is absolutely no depth behind this team. If they suffer any significant injury, they are in trouble. Record 7-9

  1. New York Giants

The Giants are not your typical 3-13 team from a year ago. They suffered some pretty significant injuries on offense. Thus creating a not so winning environment. Gone is the Giants biggest reason for losing, Ben McAdoo. The team replaced him with Pat Shurmur. If the Giants defense can stay healthy and play with some force, this team could be back in the playoff talk late in the 2018 Season.

  1. Washington Redskins

The Redskins are in a good place. They upgraded at QB after trading for Alex Smith. Their defense seems to be getting steady with the additions of Da’Ron Payne. They also released some ineffective players from last season. If the youth can serve it up in the secondary this could be the best defense the Redskins have seen in many years. Catching a break or two will go a long way in challenging the Philadelphia Eagles. Record 10-6

  1. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the best team in the NFL right now. They will need to weather the early storm without Carson Wentz. If he does play, they will have to be very diligent in protecting him. Getting Alshon Jeffery back earlier than planned will be an added bonus. The defense should be the key early on. Record 11-5.

The NFC East should be one of the most hotly contested divisions in the NFL this season. The top two teams could come down to one game and maybe even the final week. Look for this to be a battle all year.
