Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is being sued by the Arizona Uber driver, Kate P. (Name being used), who accused him of sexually groping her in March of 2016.
She is seeking $75,000 and more in damages in court. This announcement comes as Winston’s suspension, from an 8 month NFL investigation, ends after the Buccaneers showdown with the Steelers on Monday Night Football.
It would seem that although this suspension is ending, this case is not. This does not come much as a surprise, but more of a timing surprise. According to Tampa Bay Times writer Matt Baker; Kate’s attorney, John Clune, stated, “She is unimpressed by his continued lack of honesty or awareness into his behavior.” (You can find the full article HERE)
Jameis is already the talk of the town due to the resurgence of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Although Jameis has not been charged criminally, you have to believe that this will not help his image any further than the damaged one he has currently. No court date has been set at this time.
