Mike Evans is on pace to shatter franchise records.

Mike Evans was drafted 7th in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and since then has been devastating franchise receiving records. During his rookie season, Evans broke the franchise single-season record for TD receptions by hauling in 12. Those 12 were good enough to beat out the previous record held by another rookie receiver Mike Williams (11). Despite entering the promise land only 3 times during his Sophomore year, Mike Evans matched his rookie TD numbers by hauling in 12 once more in his Junior season. Touching the chicken box 5 more times in 2017, Mike Evans was officially 2 TD’s behind the current franchise record holder Jimmy Giles’ 34.

Now it is 2018, and through 2 games, Evans has tied the franchise record and should top the record during the Monday Night Ring of Honor induction of Tony Dungy.

“Look Woody, history being made everywhere!”

In addition to taking the lead on the TD franchise record, Evans is on pace to snatch the team’s all-time receiving yard record which is owned by Mark Carrier (5,018). Evans is still 210 yards shy of the record and it is not likely that he takes the record on Monday, but he can surely take the number 2 spot from Kevin House (4928) by gaining just 120 yards.

But wait, there’s more! Evans only needs 107 receptions to move ahead from second banana to being the commander and chief, the position which is currently held by James Wilder with 430.

Evans, 25, has accomplished many great feats and considering he has just begun his 5th season, we can expect a ton more. The sky is the limit for this young receiver and not only will he become the greatest Bucs receiver of all-time, I expect him to become one of the greatest NFL receivers of all-time. Maybe even the G.O.A.T.
