On Thursday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated QB Jameis Winston from the exempt list.
Winston was on the exempt list while serving his 3 game suspension. In order to make room for Winston, the Buccaneers released wide receiver, Freddie Martino.
Despite Winson’s recent activation, Ryan Fitzpatrick seems to be the guy moving forward in week 4. However, that can change at any moment and both quarterbacks are prepared for whichever role they are given.
Jameis Winston was the #1 selection in the 2015 NFL Draft and since then has completed 939 passes out of 1,544 attempts for 11,636 yards and 69 TDs. He also ran for 513 yards and 8 TDs.
Winston is set to make a base salary of $705,000 for this season but will make $20.922 million under his 5th-year option during 2019.
