NFL: Three Interesting Games on the Week Four Slate

It is week four in the 2018 NFL Season. This week several solid matchups are on tap for some good watching. While we all have our own team to tune into, there are several other games that may pique your interest. Here is a look at three other games on the week four slate that may grab your attention. And this week we add a bonus game for your viewing pleasure.

San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Chargers

I chose this game as one of interest because it will be a good test for the Chargers. Many view the Chargers as one of the best teams in the NFL this season. Here we are in week 4, and the Chargers are 1-2. They need this win to keep pace with the surging Kansas City Chiefs. No better time than this week against a depleted 49ers squad.

Cleveland Browns at Oakland Raiders

This game should bring many viewers to the market. It is the first professional start for Baker Mayfield. The Browns selected Mayfield as number one overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. The team handed him the reins after leading them to a comeback win last Thursday. Now we will see what he can do with a full week of practice and game planning under his belt.

New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars

This will be a good test for the Jets. If they can go in and lay some points down on the Jaguars’ tough defense, they just may be headed in the right direction. It will be up to Sam Darnold to make plays and keep the Jets’ offense on the field. On the other hand, Blake Bortles will face a tough Jets defense. Will he be able to continue to make plays for the Jags? While this matchup may not be ideal, it is intriguing to see just far the Jets may have come.

Bonus Coverage

Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers

It will be interesting to see if the Buffalo Bills can ride the momentum from their week 3 upset of the Minnesota Vikings. In week four they have to travel to Lambeau Field and face the Packers. While this Packers O-Line is better than ones in years past, they do have their struggles. Can Aaron Rodgers stay upright on a wheel and a half again in week 4? Tune in to this game and find out.

There you have four games this week to pique your viewing interest. These are some of the games that will have my focus since my team is on bye.

  1. Steelers v Ravens still the best match up game of the week to watch . That rivalry continues.
Bucs v Bears . Is a throwback to when the bucs were in the central division. Visions of selmon putting the breaks on Payton still dance in my head. Great football day on tap.
