Not All Hope Is Lost For The Bucs

The first quarter of the season is in the books for the Bucs, and what a wild ride it has been. Tampa Bay started off fast, and it was a sight to see. The offense was running on high octane which was driven by some sort of magic from journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick. It seemed that the Bucs had something truly special going on, but then they had a gut wrenching loss during primetime and then team didn’t seem to show up in Chicago with one of the worst performances given in recent memory.

Is this season truly lost though? Will the offense find it’s groove again under Jameis Winston? Will the defense learn how to defend? Can the Bucs start winning consistently? The answer is an emphatic no it’s not lost and YES to the rest!

The NFL is action pack and full of drama week in and week out. A ton can change from one week to the next for better or worse. Yes we have had some good games and yes we’ve lost two, but remember Tampa Bay was not supposed to be 2-2 before the bye. Most were saying 0-4 and 1-3 at best. This team has obviously proved that theory wrong.

Folks it is a long season which will be filled with plenty of ups and downs, but there is reason to be optimistic. This offense is one of the most talented in the NFC if not the entire league. The defense while not great has a great core at defensive line and linebacker. Yes the secondary may be suspect, but you have three promising prospects in Carlton Davis, MJ Stewart, and Jordan Whitehead. This team can be good, and scary good if they fit the right pieces together. So hang in there Bucs fans because it’s not over yet.
