Fitzpatrick: I was either going to win NFL MVP or be back at the bench

In an interview with ESPN’s Jenna Laine, he gave a good take on the up’s and downs an NFL season will bring. He stated that, “I said to my dad… I’m either gonna win the NFL MVP this year or I’ll be back at the bench at some point. That’s just the reality of the situation.”

How true that is, and especially so in Ryan Fitzpatrick’s case. He has had some personal achievements, but his win/loss record is spotty. With just one winning season after 11 years. Fitzpatrick’s career is the very definition of a job with highs and lows. He has taken a methodical , but laid back approach. And he has seemed intent on just enjoying the moment. Even after handing back the reigns to Jameis Winston. That is the sign of a mature player who is always thinking of the team before himself. Because of that Winston and the rest of the team can glean from Fitzpatrick on what it means to be a class act in the pros.
