The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing former Kansas City Chiefs DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches and release Jerel Worthy.
Nacho is a former 2014 6th round draft pick (compensatory) out of Southern Miss. OC Todd Monken, former head coach of Southern Miss is familiar with Nunez-Roches having been the head coach of the football team in 2013-2015.
Rakeem Nunez-Roches played in 34 games between 2015 and 2017 for the Chiefs and recorded 1.5 sacks and 51 tackles.
What Roches could bring:
He has a good motor and the ability to find gaps. What he lacks in size he makes up for in strength. Roches can be a solid nose tackle and can win one on one close quarter battles. Not a starter, but is better as a second man up in a rotation, bringing fresh legs and brute strength to any line.
