NFL Week 5 Picks

0

I was .500 on my picks for week 4. That should come with an asterisk as it would be under the hope that the Bucs actually started Jameis Winston. so really I should be 8-6. Nonetheless here are your week 5 picks.

Colts @ Patriots:  So it turns out the Colts are not that great of a football team, despite some respectable number from their injury-prone QB Andrew Luck. The Patriots have had a rocky start to their season after going 1-2 before getting back to .500 after routing Miami last week (told you Dolphin fans). It’s hard to bet against the Pats on this one. Pats win 35-21

Titans @ Bills: The Bills are a bad football team with a rookie QB, Josh Allen, that spends more time on his back because his line can’t protect him (sound familiar?) The Titans are an average football team that have beat a sub-par team, the hungover SB champs, and gritted out a win vs Jax. That said, I say Mariota finds away not to get injured again, and come home with another W. Titans win 21-7

Falcons @ Steelers: These are both football teams that should have records that reflect 3-1 not 1-3 / 1-2-1. This is a make or break game for both teams, and home field advantage will make all the difference. Steelers win 28-21

Broncos @ Jets: The Broncos are only 2-2 because the were able to beat two teams while their were down to go 2-0, and then they played good teams to become 2-2 (Or wait was that the Bucs?). The Jets though are a bad team with a rookie QB. Broncos win 24-9

Jags @ Chiefs: The Jags have a scary good offense. The Chiefs have QB Patrick Mahomes who has thrown 14 TD and ZERO picks, and are 4-0 because of it. Every Cinderella story comes to an end eventually though. Sorry Patrick, you are going to see what a real good defense looks like.  Jags win 24-17

Packers @ Lions: It’s simple. Matt Patricia is having a tough time mustering up wins unless it is against his former boss. The Packers have Aaron Rodgers who won’t be satisfied with wins unless they are up 48-0. Sorry Patricia you are going 1-4. Pack wins 38-7

Ravens @ Browns:  The Browns are better than expected. Baltimore is better than the Browns for multiple reasons. Thus the 3-1 record. Sorry Dawg Pound y’all will add another L to that record. At least you won one! Ravens win 28-10

Giants @ Panthers: It’s simple the Giants MUST win this game to salvage their season. They are desperate to salvage their season with old man Eli under center. The Panthers aren’t bad, but the Giants are desperate. The Giants will upset. Giants win 24-17

Dolphins @ Bengals: I did not expect either of these teams to be 3-1, but here we are. A season full of surprises. The Bengals look like their in the normal regular season we are good and playoffs we are bad form. Bengals win 24-6

Raiders @ Chargers: It to the Raiders playing the Browns for Jon Gruden to actually get a win. Excuse me while a laugh and sigh in relief that my Bucs avoided that train wreck. The Chargers are having a decent season, and will make quick work over the lowly Raiders. Chargers win 27-10

Cardinals @ 49ers: It’s the game of the week to see which team is worse. I say the Niners as Arizona at least has a QB. So they finally win a game. Cardinals 14-3

Vikings @ Eagles: Kirk Cousins was signed to a fat contract to keep the Vikings in contention. The Eagles still look hung over. So this NFC Championship game re-match will not have the same appeal. Phili does enough at home to go 3-2. Eagles win 27-14

Rams @ Seahawks: So the Rams are for real and are scary good at 4-0. The Seahawks have limped to 2-2. It used to be hard to win in Seattle. Not anymore. Rams win 38-10

Cowboys @ Texans: The Cowboys might have a better record, but this is simply nothing more than a below average football team. The Texans are better than 1-3 and are playing at home. Texans win 17-3

Redskins @ Saints:  The Redskins are off to a better start than most expected due to the efficiency of Alex Smith. The Saints are rolling at 3-1. FOR THE LOVE, Redskins please go into the Superdome and WIN  this year against the Saint. My bias pick of the week. Redskins win 32-28
