The Buccaneers Waive LB Kevin Minter, Re-sign RB Dare Ogunbowale

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived LB Kevin Minter. The Veteran linebacker had agreed to a deal with the Bucs last week, but it seems Tampa has no use for him after all. Minter did play in Sunday’s loss to the Bengals, but only recorded one tackle on special teams.

In the wake of Minter’s waiving, the Buccaneers re-signed RB Dare Ogunbowale to their practice squad.

In addition to these moves, Tampa has promoted CB Javien Elliot. Elliot was waived to make room for CB De’Vante Harris on the roster. The Buccaneers will now have both Harris and Elliot on the active roster. The move to promote Elliot and also carry Harris is likely due to the fact that M.J. Stewart suffered a foot injury during the game in Cincinnati last week. Elliot and Harris can both play the nickel spot and fill in for the injured M.J. Stewart.
