This week the Buccaneers host the Washington Redskins in possibly the last try to save Tampa’s season. The Redskins are coming off a brutal 38-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, which was only their third loss of the season.

Adrian Peterson had an off game against Atlanta and will try to bounce back against the Buccaneers’ weak defense. Keeping him in check will be crucial for the Bucs.
In addition to that, Washington has a decent defense. Mike Evans will try to bounce back from his one-catch game last week against the Panthers. It will certainly not be any easier for him this week because he will be covered by stud cornerback Josh Norman.

With Fitzpatrick starting at quarterback again, he is under pressure to get the victory. Otherwise it might be his last start as a Buccaneer, as the postseason will be pretty much out of reach if the Bucs lose on Sunday. Fitzpatrick’s great connection with DeSean Jackson early in the season was nowhere to be found last week. They will try to reestablish their connection.

Will the defense finally show up? Odds are it will not. Peterson will run all over the Bucs for more than 130 yards and two touchdowns.

Fitzpatrick will deliver a mediocre performance, committing two turnovers and scoring two touchdowns. All in all, it just won’t be enough to beat the Redskins. Bucs lose.

Final score: 24-14 Redskins.
