NFL: Fantasy Football Week Twelve Start ‘Em ‘n’ Sit ‘Em

0

Week twelve of the NFL and fantasy season is here. Time is running out on those teams who are on the bubble. If you are one of them I hope that you have been paying attention to our starts ‘n’ sits. In addition, have you been scouring the waiver wire week in and week out? If so, you should have some solid footing heading towards the playoffs.

Here are your week twelve starts ‘n’ sits.

Starts

QB

Russell Wilson – Seattle Seahawks

Wilson has been on fire the last couple of weeks, to the tune of 18 FPPG in his last six starts. A solid matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers lends another solid opportunity for Wilson to produce.

RB

Matt Breida – San Francisco 49ers

Breida has a very favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They rank 19th in the NFL against the ground game. He can help keep the pressure off the young Nick Mullens.

WR

Amari Cooper – Dallas Cowboys

Cooper is making the Cowboys’ offense better. On Thursday, he has a matchup against the Washington Redskins. Their pass defense has slipped in the past couple of weeks. They are currently 24th in the NFL against the pass.

TE

Jordan Reed – Washington Redskins

This is the first time all season that we list Reed as a starter. Take advantage of that. Colt McCoy likes his TE, and it showed last week against the Houston Texans. Reed had his best game of the season, scoring just over 20 FP. The Cowboys are allowing the third most points to TEs this season.

K

Josh Lambo – Jacksonville Jaguars

Lambo has 36 FP over his last three games. The Jags play the Buffalo Bills this week. The Bills are allowing kickers the most points in the league.

Defense

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have a friendly matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Dolphins are the 28th ranked offense in the NFL. While they get Ryan Tannehill back, that may not be enough against the Colts, who sit as the 20th defense coming in.

Those are your players. The following are the ones you should bench.

SITS

QB

Marcus Mariota – Tennessee Titans

Listed as a starter last week, Mariota went out and injured his hand. This week’s matchup against the Houston Texans lends to the possibility of a poor game. The Texans are currently 7th in overall defense. A bum hand and solid D mean no fantasy.

RB

LeSean McCoy – Buffalo Bills

Shady has a tough game coming up against the defense of the Jaguars. This defense is stout against the run, allowing the second-fewest FP to running backs since week 8.

WR

John Brown – Baltimore Ravens

Brown has seen a decline since his fantastic output earlier this season. With Lamar Jackson probably starting for the second week, it lessens Brown’s fantasy opportunity.

TE

Kyle Rudolph – Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have a Sunday Night tilt against the division rival Green Bay Packers. The Pack is not very nice to the TE position. They have allowed only one TD to the position this season.

K

Matt Prater – Detroit Lions

Prater has had a fantastic leg the last couple of weeks. He has 9+ FP in 2 out of his last 3 starts. Nonetheless, I would keep him on the sidelines this week against the league’s best defense, the Chicago Bears.

Defense

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have a pivotal game against the Packers. The last time these two faced each other, it was a tie. That will not happen on Sunday Night. Aaron Rodgers is out to show that his team is not ready to write this season off.

That is how week 12 looks. These are the last two weeks before we reach the playoffs. If you are a bubble team, it is time to focus.

Good luck!
