Vea Coming on Strong Towards the End of the Season

When the Buccaneers took DT Vita Vea with their first overall pick, it left some people scratching their heads. Most fans were expecting the Bucs to take a DB with their first-round pick, but Vea has proved himself worthy of his selection.

Vea, who stands at 6’4″ and weighs 350 pounds, has a blend of strength and speed few lineman in the NFL possess. Although he was injured and inactive the first 4 games, he has begun to come on strong. It started in week 10 against Washington when he recorded his first sack. Since then he has been wreaking havoc. Last Sunday against Baltimore he recorded 9 tackles, 6 of them solo.

I know Vea isn’t what Bucs fans were expecting, but his ceiling is sky high.
