Michael Lombardi of The Athletic has pointed out that the Buccaneers might be having issues trading DT Gerald McCoy because of his lack of production in comparison to his 13 million dollar contract.
McCoy has not played to the level of his salary the last few years which makes teams reluctant. Hard to trade 13 million dollar contract if the player is not playing at a Pro Bowl level.

There is no official word that the Buccaneers are actually shopping McCoy, but all signs point to that being a reality.
McCoy’s production on the stat line doesn’t exactly jump out at you but his ability to hold the double teams is undeniable. I’m just not sure that us worth the 13 million dollar price tag. Apparently not many NFL teams do either.
