This latest 7-Round mock draft looks to add a bonafide pass rusher and bolster the offensive line.

1st round
Josh Allen, EDGE, University of Kentucky

Josh Allen’s ability to rush the passer will have an instant impact on the Buccaneers’ defense. Allen, the 2018 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, had an exceptional season with the Wildcats, posting 88 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 17 sack and 5 forced fumbles.

2nd round
Taylor Rapp, SS, Washington
HT: 6’0
WT: 212 lbs.

Taylor Rapp’s ability to play in the box is what will benefit the Buccaneers the most. Rapp, while not great on the back-end of coverage, does well against TE’s and routes across the middle. Taylor finished his 3-year career at Washington with 168 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and 7 INT’s.

3rd round
Yodny Cajuste, T, West Virginia
HT: 6’5
WT: 315 lbs.

Yodny Cajuste has a tremendous upside. It’s hard to see him cracking the starting lineup but has all the tools necessary to do so. He has solid depth at the very least

Round 4
Michael Dieter, OG, Wisconsun
Ht: 6’5” / WT: 328lbs

– Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the year 2018

Michael Dieter had been projected as a 3rd round pick. The Buccaneers selecting him in the 4th is great value. Dieter can play every position on the line, this adds great depth to a line that greatly needs it.

Round 5
Miles Boykin, WR, Notre Dame
HT: 6’4. WT:228 lbs

Miles Boykin has great size and speed. Selecting Boykin in the 5th round is a safe pick, a bit of a project before cracking the starting lineup, but huge upside for a 5th rounder.

Round 6
Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Eastern Michigan
HT: 6’5 WT 247 lbs

Maxx Crosby is a late round gem for the Buccaneers. Great hands and length, high motor and determination. Crosby won’t break into the starting lineup initially but adds immediate depth to a team in desperate need of that.

Round 7
Blace Brown, CB, Troy
HT: 6’0 WT: 183

– 2017 All-Sun Belt First Team
– All-Sun Belt Third Team
– Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week

Blace Brown falling all the way to the 7th round is a little shocking, but the Buccaneers benefit from a draft full of defensive backs in this case. Brown is a ballhawk, he is an excellent tackler and has the speed to close on defenders.

This mock draft has 3 players who will make an immediate impact, as well as 4 solid backups for depth on a team that greatly needs it.
