Arians Advice On Players Summer Break: Don’t Be The Guy

0

As players wrap up minicamp this week, HC Bruce Arians has a word of advice for his players as they head into their Summer break. The advice, “don’t be the guy.” Per Greg Auman of the Athletic.

During the next seven weeks, applying his advice should be simple. Even though it’s a bit ambiguous. This brief hiatus is an opportunity for the team to recharge their batteries before a season-long grind. Arians though evidently wants to make sure they keep their focus on staying in football shape and not being “the” guy amid that break.

What does Arians mean about not being the guy? He wouldn’t explain further, and instead repeated his remarks. One can reasonably assume that it means to simply stay out of trouble and stay healthy.

Let’s hope that all the players do just that.
