Former Buccaneer Gerald McCoy was on Fox Sport’s Undisputed today where host Shannon Sharpe asked about what QB Jameis Winston does without Gerald McCoy not being in his ear?

This answer struck me odd as McCoy led on that he played a major part in not just being a locker room leader but also a veteran mentor for Winston. Why is this statement odd you ask? Well a couple years ago McCoy stated that he wasn’t the leader, that it was Winston’s team.
In 2016 McCoy stated he was “passing the torch” to Jameis Winston,
“[I’m] passing the torch. Ronde [Barber] gave me the torch. I didn’t ask him for it. He passed it to me. So, ‘Here you go, Jameis. Go take us to the Super Bowl,'” McCoy said.
So which is it?
