Veteran defensive end and former Buccaneer Robert Ayers has retired after nine seasons in the NFL.

Ayers was a Denver Broncos 2009 first-round draft pick out of the University of Tennessee. He played for four different teams (Broncos, Giants, Buccaneers, and Lions) in his nine years.
