Buccaneers wide receiver Justin Watson has been on alot of minds this offseason. The 5th round pick out of Pennsylvania in 2018 has struggled to find any playing time last season. Which leaves everyone wondering where does he land on this years depth chart.

As you can see by Greg Auman’s tweet, Watson is focusing on his blocking game in an effort to improve his status on the Bucs depth chart. Head coach Bruce Arians covets speed, but also players who are able to do multiple things. Versatility is huge for Arians, as well as crucial for a team looking to rise from the being divisional bottom dwellers to competing for a title.
Watson has all the tools to be a slot receiver in this league, good hands, size, speed and now blocking. This new addition to his game might be just what Watson needs to move up the depth chart and secure a spot on the final 53.
