After being nearly three months removed from a car accident, Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) is still sporting his neck brace. During the accident earlier this year his suffered a fractured vertebrae in his neck. Team doctors ultimately elected to let it heal on its own.

At the start of training camp the Bucs put JPP on the team’s active/NFI list after it was determined that he wouldn’t be ready in time for training camp. It is still unclear if he will be cleared anytime soon.
The team can activate him anytime before the regular season, but will continue to count against the 90-man roster. For the 2019 season he is due to make $14.9 million, and carries a dead salary cap figure of $7.5 million.
