*UPDATE*
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting Vea has an LCL sprain which could keep him 6-8 weeks. The good news is, reports say Vea is moving around well. That’s encouraging but still a huge loss for the Buccaneers heading into the season. The team would not rule him out for the season opener.
Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea underwent another MRI this morning. Sources are reporting that Vea could miss the first four weeks of the season but that surgery is not required.
Following his MRI, good news for #Bucs 2018 first-round DT Vita Vea. Sources say he can return within the first 4 weeks of the season but no surgery is required for his knee injury. Or what @MikeGarafolo tweeted a few days ago. Should miss minimal game time. (Fixed earlier tweet)
