The NFL handed out fines yesterday. Not surprisingly Buccaneers tackle Donovan Smith was on the list.
Smith was fined $28,075 for his hit on Rams cornerback Marcus Peters.
Peters was returning an interception when Smith destroyed him at the goaline. The violent hit was out of character for a player some deemed soft. When asked about the hit Smith said, “Defend every blade of grass”.
