0

At last, the long wait for the return of Jason Pierre-Paul has come to an end. Bucs fans recently saw a photo of Pierre-Paul in his full pads at practice. The presence of Pierre-Paul being back with the team full time will mean alot to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Especially when it comes to teams game planning for them on defense. Hopefully Pierre-Paul’s neck holds up and he doesn’t do any long term damage to himself.

Current State

The Buccaneers have only 13 sacks in their six games played. Nine of those sacks are by the NFL leader in sacks named Shaquil Barrett. One of the greatest things about having Pierre-Paul return to the Buccaneers is that you can literally play him anywhere in this defense. At 6’4 275 Pierre-Paul has the size and speed to the plat the 3-tech (over the guard) 5 technique (outside shoulder of the tackle) or the 7 technique which is basically the outside linebacker.

The Return

The return of Pierre-Paul brings his dominance and leadership back to this team as well as his 2018 numbers of his 13 sacks and 43 solo tackles. Pierre-Paul’s  also graded at a 60.1 on Pro-Football Focus’ website.

Pierre-Paul has been working hard with and without his neck brace while trying his hardest to be available for his teammates for the 2019 season.

Conclusion

Last but not least, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been waiting for this moment since they signed Suh and had a healthy Vita Vea. The fans are excited to see what this rush can do when it is actually at 100%. The Buccaneers are already #1 against the run lets see if they can become top ten in getting after the quarterback. The Buccaneers may have started slow but they will have the chance to finish fast.

Prediction: Pierre-Paul finishes the season with 7 sacks
