Let’s be honest did you really buy into Bruce Arians comments about Jameis Winston future in the 2020?
Who are you trying to fool coach? This franchise will most likely place the franchise tag on Winston in the 2020 off season. I believe placing the tag on Winston in 2020 is the most logical move this Bucs organization can make. Is this really a debate?
This team is really only a few offensive tackles, veteran safety and a running back away from being serious contenders in 2020. There’s no need to mess up the continuity Winston has with the receivers, the scheme and team. Yes we know about the turnovers but ask yourself do you have the patience to wait for a rookie quarterback to develop? A rookie quarterback that will take precious time to develop and leave players like Mike Evans, Lavonte David, Chris Godwin and Jason Pierre-Paul wasting away valuable years while doing so?
Bruce Arians comments should be taken with a grain of salt. Any football fan who truly knows about team building and contracts knows franchising Winston is the best option. We all are tired of the turnovers, but overall Winston isn’t a bad quarterback. Keeping him another year to make a playoff run is what’s best for organization.
