Buccaneers promote WR to 53-man roster

The Buccaneers have promoted wide receiver Ishmael Hyman from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. The opening on the 53-man roster was created by placing running T.J. Logan on injured reserve.

The Buccaneers needed to add a wide receiver to the roster to fill the void left by Mike Evans’ injury. Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians stated on Monday that Mike Evans (WR) was “doubtful” for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

T.J. Logan fractured his thumb in practice last Friday and is now on the injured reserve list.

Hyman was first signed to the Buccaneers practice squad in week 4. Hyman also played for the Orlando Apollos in the now defunct AAF.
