A slew of reports and rumors out of the combine have surfaced this week in regards to the future of Tom Brady. Original reports from Jeff Howe of the Athletic stated Tom Brady would not seek to reset the quarterback market with a large contract. In fact, Brady and the New England Patriots were rumored to be close to a contract that consisted of two years.
In a later report, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported that Brady will likely hit the free agent market after all.
“Tom Brady is currently operating under the belief that he will enter free agency to play somewhere other than New England next season, a sentiment the quarterback has shared with others, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington is repotting.”https://t.co/SuOW4L1U6Q

So what does this mean for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Tom Brady is becoming much more of a serious possibility. In an interview at the combine, Bruce Arians was asked which quarterbacks he would pick the phone for in free agency. Tom Brady’s name was mentioned directly.
Asked for examples of NFL quarterbacks he’d pick up the phone for in free agency, Bruce Arians said “Tom Brady. Philip (Rivers) is another guy. We’ll see.”
