With the legal tampering period beginning on Monday, a flurry of NFL news shook the industry. We saw huge trades, blockbuster signings, and plenty of quarterback rumors. One of the biggest being Tom Brady, who confirmed his departure from the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

One of the more interesting developments though is the silence surrounding Jameis Winston. Not one local or national outlet has reported team interest, rumors or speculation.
Still, Rick Stroud reported that the Buccaneers have remained in contact with Winston throughout the process, even with Tom Brady rumors heating up.
The #GoBucs still are keeping close communication with Jameis Winston. Very close. All for now.

Once the legal tampering period began, I reported the Chargers as a potential suitor for Winston. But with the allure of Tom Brady, Jameis Winston has stepped to second in line.
On Tuesday, things became a bit more clear, with a source telling me that Winston was being vetted by the Redskins, Chargers and Colts.
It it still puzzling that no outlets are reporting team interest in Winston. It may be because these teams are just doing their homework, and are waiting for Tom Brady to get the dominoes falling.
Winston’s camp could also be operating under a vow of silence, simply letting the cards be played out without manipulating the system.
We can’t rule out any quarterback scenario for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Who knows, Tom Brady could sign with the Chargers with Jameis Winston moving on, forcing the team to open up door number three. We’ll just have to wait and see.
