The second iteration of Vince McMahon’s XFL spring football league is apparently done.

During an in-house conference call Friday XFL employees were told they were being laid off. This comes just a month after their inaugural season was canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The league initially promised to come back for the 2021 season.
The league has no current plan to return in 2021, reports from ESPN’s Kevin Seifert and Field Yates state a prominent former XFL staffer said “it’s not coming back.”
