Jason Licht, “We’re excited about having OJ Howard play with Rob Gronkowski.”

Earlier today, Adam Schefter tweeted about a response from Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ general manager Jason Licht on the speculation of tight end O.J. Howard being traded.

This could be a smokescreen to help protect Tampa’s draft plans, but it makes sense to keep as many weapons as possible for Tom Brady to work with. Howard is still very young and has a bright future. Whether that future lies with the Buccaneers is still to be determined. Having three pass-catching tight ends will create an even more explosive offense than the Buccaneers already have.

The only question is what to do with their cap space having so many tight ends on the roster. Can Tampa afford to keep so many tight ends on the roster?
