The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ tight end O.J Howard’s name has been linked to trade rumors throughout this offseason. But this isn’t just any offseason, this is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2020 offseason.

Per Pewter Report, the Buccaneers are exercising tight end O.J Howard’s fifth-year option.

As mentioned, there have been rumors swirling around Howard’s status nearly his entire professional career. Today it seems most of those have been out to bed, for now.

This option is for the 2021 season and as reported by Pewter Report, the payout  should be around $6 million. General Manager Jason Licht has brought this up back in March during the 2020 NFL Scouting combine.
