Given the increase of COVID-19 cases in the NFL, the NFL and the NFLPA are negotiating a new date for players to return for training camp. They are also debating how teams should operate their training camps, per Ian Rapoport.
So there is a date to report: July 28. The NFL and NFLPA are still negotiating what camp will look like and how the protocols will be handled and everything else. But players will arrive on time. https://t.co/BLrbUQnRXx

Although these new guidelines are still being discussed, players will arrive on time for training camp. Teams are still going on normally and players still aren’t allowed to their training facility. The new date being considered for their return is July 28th.
If all works out, there will be a shortened preseason. Though all of this is still speculation, the NFL is still determined to give football fans something to be hopeful for.
