Just a formality, but Bucs today waived linebacker Kendell Beckwith with a non-football injury designation. He hasn’t played since severely injuring his ankle in a 2018 car accident.

As tweeted by Greg Auman of the Athletic, the move was more of a formality after the former LSU star was unable to return to play after injuring his ankle as a passenger in a 2018 car accident.
A third round pick in 2017, Beckwith played every linebacker position his rookie season. He recorded 73 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble while taking over as middle linebacker for an injured Kwon Alexander. Beckwith had nothing but upside and talent after being drafted by Tampa Bay
