Today we go out first look at Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in their helmets at this mornings practice. We have previously seen them in promotional shots, but this marks the first time the team has practiced using them.
Players were allowed to wear helmets during the ramp-up period today to test out specially designed Oakley face shields that aim to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Although the pads won’t be utilized until August 17th, Buccaneers players were allowed to wear their helmets to test out the face shields. These face shields cover the face mask of the helmet and add some extra protection. Oakley, in partnering with the NFL, has specially designed these face shields in attempt to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19. As of now, the face shields will be optional for players to use.
