League rules this year allows you to promote two players from the practice squad to the active roster up to 90 minutes before game time.
Both players are able to return to the teams practice squad on Monday without having to pass through waivers. Teams are only allowed to promote players twice a year to the 55 man roster under the new rules however.
Additionally, the team will be allowed to dress 48 players, up from the normal 47, as long as eight are offensive lineman.
