Fournette: “I Love it here, to be Honest”

Leonard Founette seems to be happy in Tampa. According to Greg Auman of The Athletic, Fournette loves the unity he has found on the Buccaneers.

Fournette signed a one year $2 million base contract that can increase up to $3.5 million with incentives. He rushed for 367 yards on 97 rushing attempts during the regular season. He added an additional 36 receptions for an additional 233 yards.

With Ronald Jones injured prior to the first playoff game Fournette stepped in with 93 rushing yards (4.9 average) adding an additional 4 receptions for 39 yards.

Fournette’s future with the Buccaneers beyond this season is still a major question mark. With Ronald Jones and LeSean McCoy being unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, the Bucs have some tough decisions to make. Do they stick with their draft pick and re-sign Jones? Or do they put their eggs in the Fournette basket? What about McCoy? Rest assured it will be a busy offseason for the Buccaneers, especially in addressing the running back position. One thing is clear, Fournette likes it here, that definitely can’t hurt.
