Buccaneers Evans Already Planning for Next Year

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still basking in the glow of winning their 2nd Super Bowl this Monday morning. This team’s dominant performance against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs still is all the buzz across all of social media.

Winning a championship is no small feat, keeping the team together for a title defense can be somewhat impossible. The Buccaneers have a lot of work to do in the offseason in regards to players’ contracts. That process got a jumpstart by none other than wide receiver Mike Evans.

Via Peter King of NBC Sports, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians called Evans  “the most unselfish superstar I’ve ever met.” Strong statement from a man who’s coached some legendary players. King went on to say, Evans told Arians to use some of his money to help keep the core of the team together.

The confetti hasn’t been swept up yet and Evans is already making sacrifices to make a run at another championship. That just shows you what kind of teamate Evans is. A true team player!

The Buccaneers have a ship load of players eligible for free agency this offseason. Evans is on record willing to make sacrifice for the team. But with the current State of the Buccaneers salary cap, and the shear amount of potential free agents on the roster, tiough decisions will have to be made. Mr. Licht, don’t book that vacation to quickly, there’s work to be done.
