According to Rick Stroud the Buccaneers will be releasing quarterback Ryan Griffin. Griffin was an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints In 2013-14. He signed with the Tampa Bay buccaneers in 2015 has been a back up quarterback with the team ever since.
QB Ryan Griffin will be among the players released today by the #Bucs. They will go with Tom Brady, Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask. Griffin is a candidate to be signed to the practice squad.

The move may come in a day or two also per Stroud. The Buccaneers may still bring Griffin back to the practice squad.
