The Tampa Bay Bucs are depleted in the secondary. With injuries to Sean Murphy-Bunting, Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean the Buccaneers brought in veteran Richard Sherman last week. According to Josina Anderson, the Buccaneers are looking at another veteran free agent corner.
I'm told just now that the Tampa Bay #Bucs are at least one team that 'will definitely investigate,' CB Stephon Gilmore's availability, per league source.

Yes, Stephon Gilmore wants a lot of money, yes it seems like a no-brainer and yes Gilmore would be an upgrade over all those previously mentioned. The big obstacle here is money, the Bucs have very little, Gilmore wants a lot. That being said, the Bucs have been very creative in maneuvering around the salary cap. So anything is possible.
Gilmore is on the Physically Unable to Perform list until week six, this designation will stay with him even after being released by the Patriots.
He’s still on the PUP list, so must miss next two weeks.
