To say the interview process with Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich has been wonky is an understatement. Earlier this week the Jaguars were reported to have agreed to hire Leftwich as their next head coach. In true Jaguars fashion they managed to muddy the waters by interviewing a few other candidates.

Now, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the New Orleans Saints have requested permission to interview Leftwich. Yes, you read that correctly. This is a developing story. We will update you as new information becomes available.
