The move is the first of what many believe will be multiple contract restructures or extensions for the Buccaneers.
We’ve mentioned this for a while as an easy source of cap relief for Bucs — I can confirm DT Vita Vea had his base salary of $10.6 million reduced to $1.12 million and a $9.46 million bonus. Creates $7.64 million in much-needed cap space. @rapsheet on it first.

@TBTimes_Bulls confirmed #Bucs reduced Vita Vea’s $10.6 million salary to $1.12 million and a $9.46 million bonus. There will be more and candidates include Shaquil Barrett, Donovan Smith, Lavonte David and Mike Evans. (Usual suspects). https://t.co/jhLyRucDfg
