The move adds much needed depth to the Buccaneers offensive line unit. As Greg Auman of The Athletic reports, the Buccaneers look at Johnson as a tackle that provides depth.
Bucs like Fred Johnson as a tackle — can compete for backup job in training camp. Was a healthy scratch much of last season for Bengals, has played in 23 games, eight starts. Bucs had him at their local predraft workout in 2019, as Gators are within their "local" radius.
