Buccaneers Host Top Rated RB Draft Prospect

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing for the upcoming NFL draft. Part of that process is sending scouts to college pro days as well as hosting prospects at the team’s facilities.

Carmen Vitali of The Draft Network reports that the Bucs had Texas A&M’ running back Isaiah Spiller in for a visit on Tuesday.

Spiller is looking to improve his draft stock after a sub-par combine showing. To his defense, Spiller strained an abductor muscle and hamstring during the combine. The Buccaneers may see this as an opportunity to grab a very productive back that’s seen his draft stock fall because of injuries.

The Buccaneers do have four running backs currently under contract with Leonard Fournette, Giovani Bernard, Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Kenjon Barner. If the Buccaneers were to select Spiller or a back in the front half of the draft it’s almost certain Barner would be the odd-man out.
