Buccaneers Evans Earns National Respect, Finally

0

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is a star on and off the field. From his highlight receptions to his charitable work in the community, Evans has it covered.

On the field, Evans has accomplished things no NFL player has in posting eight straight 1000+ yards receiving seasons to start his career. Evans also leads the NFL in touchdowns since being drafted in 2014. Even Buccaneers quarterback and known GOAT Tom Brady called Evans, “one of the all-time NFL greats”.

The question now is, why does Evans not get the national respect he deserves? Is it simply because most of his his career has been spent on a losing team? Maybe it’s because Evans does break out into an entire dance routine after each score?

So it was surprising, no, refreshing when Good Morning Football did a segment on who they thought the most underrated receivers in the league were. The segment included Peter Schrager and former NFL receiver Torrey Smith.

Evans has been an anchor on this Buccaneers offense. Whenever there’s a big play needed, Evans is up for the challenge. Just like he is with his charity work in the community.
