As NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports, the 28 year old punter is joining the Falcons on a one-year deal.
Pinion started his career in 2015 with the San Francisco 49ers and had spent the previous three seasons with the Buccaneers. In order to conserve money, Tampa Bay terminated the seasoned punter, which resulted in a $2 million savings for the Bucs. The move was also anticipated following the Buccaneers’ selection of punter Jake Camarda with a fourth-round choice in the draft.
