Buccaneers Quickly Delete Video Tweet After Fans Roast QB‘s Pass

To say Buccaneers’ quarterback Kyle Trask‘s training camp has had it’s ups and downs would be an understatement. Reports have flooded the social media newsfeeds with hyperbole in both directions. One day, he’s a bust, the next he’s on the GOAT’S heels, rinse and repeat.

Late last week the Buccaneers’ official Twitter account tweeted a video of Jamel Dean’s interception during practice. Unfortunately that same video also showed a duck of a pass by Trask. The video of Trask‘s pass quickly made the rounds on social media. Drawing criticism on nearly every thread it was posted, the Buccaneers deleted the video tweet. The team’s social media team had unintentionally thrown Trask under the bus, or at least pushed him.

The duck like pass was intended for Jaelon Darden, but as you can see was hardly on target. Erick Crocker from “Locked on NFL Draft captioned the video best, “Now THIS is a wobbly ball, lol Tampa Bay couldn’t delete this fast enough.”

Trask has been reported to be struggling with his accuracy during training camp this year. In doing so he threw multiple interceptions during three days of practice last week.

Head coach Todd Bowles was more positive and encouraging than anything in his comments on Trask.

“He’s confident in where he’s going. He’s understanding things,” Bowles stated August 3. “We’re putting him in a lot of situations where he’s getting some experience. That’s all we can ask for right now.”
