ESPN’s Jeff Darlington is reporting Buccaneers’ wide receiver Julio Jones will not play against the Falcons. Jones has been dealing with a knee injury and apparently still isn’t ready.
Darlington added that receiver Russell Gage will play. No word on Breshad Perriman’s status yet.
I’m told Bucs WR Julio Jones (knee) will NOT play today against his former team. Source adds WR Russell Gage (back) WILL play against the Falcons.
So the Bucs will have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Gage ready to roll — a hugely important trifecta for this Tampa squad.
