Buccaneers’ Brady Reponds to Retirement Rumor

0

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady spoke with the media recently ahead of Sunday’s divisional matchup with the Carolina Panthers. After all the typical questions were out of the way, Brady was asked to respond to PFT’s Chris Simms’ comments that Brady may quit mid-season.

Brady’s full quote in response to Simms’ comments.

“I love the sport. I love the teammates. I want to do a great job with this team like I always have. So, no retirement in my future.”

Yes the Chris Simms and Mike Florio obsession with Brady is weird. Just as a former quarterback with Simms’ resume critiquing Brady’s play is… odd. It’s akin to a McDonald’s burger flipper critiquing a Gordon Ramsey meal.

Several outlets ran with a piece of Brady’s comments as proof he would be playing beyond the 2022 season. That isn’t what he was eluding too, but it also wouldn’t surprise many of us.
