Report: Buccaneers Now Appear To Be Under Salary Cap

0

The Buccaneers have been busy Thursday re-working contracts. First up was defensive lineman Vita Vea converting his 2023 salary into a signing bonus. That move appeared to be a sign of things to come.

Fox Sports’ Greg Auman is reporting that the Bucs have also restructured the contracts of Carlton Davis, Ryan Jensen and Chris Godwin. These three moved clear up $44 million in cap space.

No details on the restructures are available as of now. Aumans’s report wasn’t complete with exact financial details, but by our math, when you factor in the reported releases of Fournette, Brate and Smitj in the Buccaneers are now approximately $3-6 million under the cap. We will update this as soon as new information becomes available.
