The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to the Houston Texans 39-37 to fall to 3-5 on the season. That can only mean it’s time for “Captain’s Table/Walk the Plank”.
470 yards. 5 TDs. All from a rookie QB. A record.
He looked lost out there. Dalton Schultz was playing like Travis Kelce with Taylor Swift in the stands. Tank Dell looked like Tyreek Hill. Oh, and he was the nearest defender on that game-winning TD from CJ Stroud. It seemed like every guy he tried to cover ended up wide open and picking up huge yardage. Just brutal stuff from a very high-paid corner.
C’mon now, that last drive for the Bucs took sooooo long because the refs just couldn’t make any definitive assessments.
This is a team without an identity. Are they a high-flying passing team? Not really. Baker Mayfield had 11 yards in the third quarter. Can they run the ball? Not really. They average under 80 rushing yards a game. Are they a lockdown defense? Not really. They got picked apart by a rookie QB throwing to Dalton Schultz and Nico Collins. Give me a fucking break.
Tried some new Christmas-themed candy while I was watching that monstrosity of a game Sunday afternoon, and as a huge white chocolate fan, holy hell they’re delicious. Shoutout Hershey’s, they never disappoint.
What a fucking guy. What a stud. Drilling a 29 yarder in a clutch moment to give Houston the lead in the 4th.
The consummate professional. A guy with still a lot to offer the NFL. That’s Lavonte David.
Another week, another huge play from the former Gopher safety. He will get the Brinks truck this offseason (in the context of the safety position).
For an offense that can’t do much on the ground or in the air, White was doing everything he could to keep things humming along. He’s faced a shit ton of criticism (much of it deserved) for what has been a very disappointing season up to this point, but he emerged with a great game Sunday afternoon.
Mike not only hauled in what would set up a Rachaad White TD, but he also recovered a really tough fumble by Trey Palmer that could’ve cost them the game.
