Bucs MinuteCast: Offseason Updates

On this episode of the Bucs MinuteCast with Dan Holmi, Dan looks at contract negotiations, Jordan Whitehead’s return and more!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs was absent from the team’s OTAs as he is negotiating a long-term contract. Coach Todd Bowles did not confirm the reason for Wirfs’ absence but emphasized that OTAs are voluntary. Wirfs, a three-time Pro Bowler, is currently set to play under the fifth-year option of his rookie contract.

Meanwhile, former Jets safety Jordan Whitehead returned to the Buccaneers on a two-year deal after spending time in New York, aiming to enhance his coverage skills. Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht openly admitted that re-signing Whitehead was necessary and expressed regret over letting him leave.
